Welcome to the HomeopathySA website. Started in order to make it easier for South Africans who have an interest in homeopathy to access the remedies they need easily. We stock the commonly used remedies as well as ones that may be less well known. In addition, as a unique feature, we can mix your individual recipe.

Animals have a very good response to homeopathy and with this in mind, remedies can be purchased for your pets on this site.

We anticipate that many users of the site will already have some experience of homeopathy and the use of homeopathic medicines in the home. As homeopathic prescribing takes some time to determine the individual remedy needed we provide a basic questionnaire to help in choosing your remedy. This may be found under the conditions section.

Homeopathy falls under the umbrella of holistic medicine and respects all other forms of healing. It can happily exist alongside other therapies.

From the Greek physician, Hippocrates, known as ‘The Father of medicine’ we have the principle of similars for treating illness. It is from this idea that the father of modern homeopathy (Hahnemann) used the term ‘like cures like’. That is, an illness should be treated by a substance capable of producing similar symptoms to those being suffered by the patient, but in minute amounts. This is the basis of homeopathy. An example of this principal in practice is evidenced by the remedy APIS. Made from honeybees it is used to treat insect stings (like treats like)
